Love and Affection
_______________________________
Clothing made of silken thread
Has a texture and a feel
That is pleasing to the touch,
With a sensory appeal .
Yet, even though I'm fond of it
As a choice for personal attire;
It could never ever cause in me
strong feelings of desire.
Wildflowers in a Alpine meadow,
In hues that mesmerize;
Are a source of great attraction
And are pleasing to my eyes.
But even though their beauty,
Is a symbol of Nature's grace,
They could never, ever excite me
As when I see your lovely face.
Silk and flowers, music and art;
Are a much desired collection;
But none of them save you, my love
Can give me love and affection.
